Staying Motivated Rester motivé
Recently I’ve been approached from a couple of different directions about the difficulty of staying motivated. Creating an animation is not a minor task, as I’m sure you’re aware. Créer une animation n'est pas une tâche mineure, comme je suis sûr que vous êtes conscients. There are many steps involved, and finishing any of them is an accomplishment in its own right. Il existe de nombreuses étapes, de finition et l'un d'entre eux est un accomplissement en soi. The problem is the lack of public acknowledgment. Le problème est le manque de reconnaissance publique. That may be the coolest storyboard ever but in the end, even after the animation is completed, who will see it? My idea for this is to make your smaller steps public. Mon idée, c'est de faire des pas plus petits de votre public. I bet your parents would be impressed with your storyboards. Je parie que vos parents serait impressionné par votre story-board. So would your friends and girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/live-in-nanny. Il en irait de vos amis et votre copine / copain / femme / mari / live-in-nourrice. For that matter, I would love to see it as well. Pour cette question, j'aimerais le voir ainsi.

While I certainly value his opinion the point of doing this is mostly to officially let somebody — somebody who cares — know that I’m working on the next animation, and to offer some gentle prodding if he hasn’t heard from me in a while. I have a great story ready and I’m satisfied with my character designs the problem is I’m stuck on how to create backgrounds. J'ai une belle histoire prête et je suis satisfait de mon personnage conçoit le probleme c'est que je suis coincé sur la façon de créer des milieux.
Truth of the matter is I wanted my backgrounds to look hand painted and I have absolutely no experience in painting though I have been dabbling in Corel Painter IX and have made some decent but not spectacular paintings either. La vérité de la question est Je voulais que mes horizons à chercher peintes à la main et je n'ai absolument aucune expérience dans la peinture bien que j'aie été barboteurs dans Corel Painter IX et certains ont fait décent, mais pas spectaculaire peintures.
I did walk around my neighborhood and took photographs of interesting looking buildings and the creek in my local area and I’ve created a layout and yet I feel like I’m on the urge of defeat. Je n'ai à pied autour de mon quartier et a pris des photos de recherche intéressant les bâtiments et le ruisseau dans ma région et j'ai créé une mise en page et pourtant je me sens comme je suis sur le besoin de la défaite. I haven’t thrown in the towel yet I spent too much money on my hobby to just quit! Je n'ai pas jeté l'éponge, j'ai passé encore trop d'argent sur mon passe-temps pour tout simplement arrêter!
I decided to still practice using painter IX and use Adobe Illustrator to create my backgrounds instead. J'ai décidé de continuer de s'exercer à utiliser Painter IX et l'utilisation d'Adobe Illustrator pour créer mon arrière-plans au lieu.
To Add to my frustration I always end up getting pulled away from my hobby due to errands that are usually a can’t wait task. Pour ajouter à ma frustration que j'ai finissent toujours par se arrachée de mon passe-temps en raison de courses qui sont le plus souvent ne peut pas attendre tâche.

I suspect you may be farther along than you think. Je mai croyez que vous être plus loin que vous ne le pensez. Instead of getting frustrated that your backgrounds aren’t perfect, why not try running your photographs through an artistic and blur filter in Photoshop, then use those as your backgrounds? Au lieu de vous frustré que votre arrière-plans ne sont pas parfaits, pourquoi ne pas essayer de lancer vos photos grâce à un flou artistique et filtre dans Photoshop, puis utiliser ces fonds comme votre? The blur will keep the backgrounds from becoming too distracting. Le flou ne manquera pas de tenir les fonds de devenir trop distraire.
Are you using Toon Boom for this animation? Utilisez-vous Toon Boom pour cette animation?

Definitely using Toonboom Studio 4 actually and because of your encouragement I’ll keep going. Certainement en utilisant ToonBoom Studio 4 en fait et en raison de vos encouragements je vais continuer.

Here is a little update on my situation I found a way to visualize my background art in 3D. Voici un petit point sur ma situation, j'ai trouvé une façon de visualiser mon expérience d'art en 3D.
I’m making a 3D model of the house in my cartoon with foamboards,an X-acto, Knife and Foam Glue to assemble the house. Je fais un modèle 3D de la maison avec mon dessin animé foamboards, un X-acto, couteau et en mousse de la colle pour assembler la maison. I still have the drawing now hopefully I’ll have a better understanding on how to create the illusion of depth on a sheet of paper or on the Illustrator canvas. J'ai toujours le dessin, espérons maintenant je vais avoir une meilleure compréhension sur la manière de créer l'illusion de profondeur sur une feuille de papier ou sur toile l'illustrateur.
